Another successful day at Toronto Horse Day 2015! Thank you to all of our volunteers for helping the community learn more about the horses we love.
Congratulations to Peter Cameron as he was presented with a Lifetime Achievement Award at the Arabian Professional and Amateur Horsemen’s Association annual banquet held in Scottsdale, Arizona on February 23rd, 2014. This was the first time a Canadian, along with the first time a judge, has ever won this award. By winning it, he was also automatically inducted into their Hall Of Fame. Our submission in the breed promotion category for the Arabian Horse Association’s
Club Excellence Awards
The results were announced at AHA’s gala dinner last night in Lexington, Kentucky.
Club President, Allan Ehrlick, and Region 18 Director, Dan Cross, and AHAEC representatives Janet & David Henderson were in attendance to accept the large monetary award and certificate.
Sincerest thanks to everyone who worked on the submission and to all those who supported our Royal Winter Fair promo booth & activities throughout the past five years – this success was because of you!!!!
Over the five years we showcased how versatile our Arabian horses are and proved it over & over again each & every year! Not only did we demonstrate their versatility but, just as important, their tractability & intelligence. Our many great breed ambassadors exhibited these traits and now thousands of people know the Arabian breed is not high strung or flighty. It has been encouraging to hear from some of our booth visitors over the years, especially when they say they purchased an Arabian because of our horses & booth at The Royal!
This is an awesome conclusion to my five years as being Chair of the Royal Winter Fair promo booth. We created some unique promotional opportunities for the Arabian breed during this period, not only working with OEF’s Spirit of the Horse, but also with University of Guelph’s EquiMania by promoting the breed during “Arabian Horse Day” in their booth to thousands of children & families living in cities, the teachers & schools (worldwide) who received over 700 Teacher’s Packets, 4H & Pony Club groups, to over 2000 people who completed ballots to win Arabian horse T-shirts & magazines, co-operating with other Royal Winter Fair vendors Nutura Bitless Bridles/Avid Equestrian/The Wandering Bean Coffee/chocolatiers & bakers, to our associations & suppliers—Canadian Arabian Registry & Canadian Arabian News/OCTRA/AHAEC/Zone 9 Arabian Horse Club/AHA/OEF/TD Bank-Children’s Literacy/Children’s Health/My Little Pony/Telegraph Road Book Distributors/Random House/JD Creative/Crayola Crayons/Printing House/Minuteman Printing, and, to our many devoted sponsors/in-kind donors/volunteers/horse owners –A HUGE THANK YOU!
A reminder to all that Effective April 1, 2014, AHA DUES FOR ADULT MEMBERSHIPS WILL INCREASE FROM $25.00 TO $40.00 USD, this will also be subject to HST.

The AHAEC promotional booth took part at the Toronto Horse Day. Thanks to those who donated their time to make this possible.
Thanks to all who participated in the Funtastic Trail Ride-A-Thon! The youngest rider was 5 with her mini pony Pop Corn. The oldest rider was 67. We had lots of prizes and lots of food. The river in the back ground is the Maitland River which runs through the Dinsmores’s property and terminates in Goderich. The trail ride generated $1000 towards the ARRAB program as well as early sponsorships from Mathers Landscaping, Dietz Agri Centre Inc. and Eric Campbell Ford Lincoln Ltd. Congratulations once again to Jean Dinsmore for organizing this special event for the ARRAB program! Remember – you have to nominate a horse in order to win!
